Default Substitute for shock spanner wrench?

Looking for a substitute for a spanner wrench to adjust my shocks. Anyone have any ideas?

If you are really strong you can turn them up a couple notches by hand,no wrench.I have my brother-in-law do mine.

Come on now. How many thousand for a bike and you won't fart out 10 buck for a wrench? Try a pipe wrench and a screw driver. It will cost more in beer to have a moose brother inlaw crank on it. Thanks, That was just fun to type. Out to the shop I go!

i use a strap wrench as well those friggin wrenches are a bitch

I have wrapped my shocks with a rag and used a channel lock plier to adjust them... Now I have the proper tool though...

I paid $2 for a spanner at the dealer. When I got home, I found out why it was on clearance, it didn't fit. A couple of swipes on the bench grinder took care of that though. Freakin' dealer...

Yellow dish washing gloves work well, gives you a good no slip grip.
