A cheap pair of channel lock pliers. Just grab that puppy and start it turning. Will save you lots of time and needless spent $$$. For the $$ saved go buy a couple' six packs and enjoy while you let the oil take its' time draining.
Sure the channel locks destroy your filter, but unless you have a re-usable filter, so what.

I use Harley filters and got the HD filter wrench from LSHD1.com for less the $8. I picked up one from Auto Zone first and it was a bit loose so I figured I'd go with the Harley one that fit the filter tighter for the extra $1. And the wrench size is 47mm 14 flut in case you want to try and find one someplace else.

I've never had any issues with it. It fits snug so there is no play when you turn it but it comes right off. From my expereance with cup wrenches if there is any play it alows the filter to slip in the wrench and kinda jams it in the wrench.

I agree with craig -- I use HD's Oil Filter Wrench End Cap Style (94863-10) and it is slick. Not often you can find a cheap part at your HD dealership... and it actually works perfectly to boot. Never a problem.
