Shotgun Shocks is developing an air ride suspension for Dyna / Touring models, with two air adjustments, one for height and one for firmness. I saw the Softail version at a local bike night, it is a clean installation and the bike can be raised or lowered instantly. http://www.shotgunshock.com/
I don't have them, I went with Street Glide air shocks. I would suggest that you look into all the air shocks available, especially air shocks that have two adjustments, one to adjust height and one to adjust firmness.
The newest ones available that I know of are made by Shotgun Shocks: http://www.shotgunshocks.com/, I saw them on a Softail in person at a local bike night, high quality and a very clean installation.
They use air pressure to raise, lower, set ride height, and firmness: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kipD...layer_embedded

They are actually 11.6" fully extended, 9.6" collapsed. I think this is the only size they make for Dyna's
They are fully adjustabe with onboard compressor. Check out Custom Dynamics, just type in Arnott or Aldan in search box.
I dont have a video but I found one on Youtube, I guess they make em in 13" too.
