Road King rear fender on my '05 FXDCI
Last year I put a Road King frear fender on my 05 Dyna so I could use a tombstone tail light. I used spacers as there was over 1/4" gap on each side. The struts are 8" apart. Is there a similar fender that will fill the 8" space so I can run a fatter rear tire. Want to install a FatBoy rear rim with fat tire.

Harvey -
(or anyone who's widened your rear fender struts) ... was looking at possibly widening my rear fender struts a little, but when I looked from the rear with the fender off, it appears I only need to bend the left one ... that is, they appear to be off-center to the right ....
I don't want to just 'spread them' because the right one is further from the center already ....
Has anyone else noticed that ...? And, if so, how do / did you just 'spread' one side ...?

Next time you are around several different Harleys slide your hand between the rear tire and fender on both sides. (Don't do this to a stranger's bike. I think you will find that one side is tighter than the other. On my Shovel it's tight on the right. But it has a Sturgis belt drive setup with belt drive swingarm. Done that in '95. My Street Bob was also tighter on the right before I started the process. First we spaced the rear wheel and tried to center it by lining it up with the front of the struts. It's hard to get a good measure. I think we got it about a 16th off to the right of center. Which is closer to center than it was stock. Then the struts were cut and squared to the wheel.
