Wide Glide fender swap??

Wide Glide fender swap??
I recently bought a '95 Wide Glide for a winter project.... it has a Fatboy fender on the front that looks like it went on with no modification. I want to get rid of the "ducktail" fender on the rear... does anybody know if a Fatboy/Heritage rear fender will go on a FXDWG without alot of mods? I happen to have a Deuce rear fender that I thought about trying, but I would rather have the look of the Fatboy/Heritage, so I thought I'd try you guys first to see if you have any info or advice. I'm also not opposed to aftermarket fenders, I'm sure they make one to fit my bike in the style I'm looking for.

Right on... thanks! I'll do that. I found a complete set of tins from a Heritage with a custom paintjob that I can get fairly cheap, but I just wanna make sure it's gunna work. The tins that are on my Dyna are just too nice to paint over, but I want to do a flat black paintjob on it. I might have to buy a fender here and a tank there, so to speak...? Thanks again

Right... I'm gunna find another FXDWG tank, one that I can paint... I'm just trying to figure out what would be involved in swapping the fenders. The tank I have is fine, but the paint on it and both fenders is perfect, not a scratch, so I don't want to spray over them, I'll sell them when I take them off, and since I'm changing sheet metal anyway, I'm gunna go with a different style rear fender... I just don't like the "bobtail" fenders. That's exactly why my other bike is a Deuce!!

There are a few fellas that have put on touring rear fenders. I'm waiting for my 2011 Road Glide Custom fender to arrive.... from what I understand, to get it to fit on my 2007 I'll have to grind a bit away from the inside of the fender struts, mark my holes, drill, and mount. Shouldn't be too difficult.
