Default 1st Oil Chg on 09 Street Bob question

Looking way ahead (have 4k to go) to next oil change I purchased a service manual, torque wrench oil filter wrench. Basically bored and tinkering since I can't ride.

Here's the problem. There is not room to access the drain plug with a socket (torque wrench) due to a bumper on the frame. Looks like it is 2 inches off from the pic in my manual and is definitely in the way. Am I overlooking the obvious here?

Thanks for your time. Brent-

Does it slide on the frame or can you move it?

Allen head socket, can't remember which size though, it's been awhile.

You can slide it over, permanently. Just slide it enough to fit the socket on. It is the bumper for the kickstand.

So, I can slide it over without loosening it? Don't really see how it's attached to the frame. Tried moving it with my hand.

If you're talking about the kickstand bumper I think it just clamps to the frame under it's own pressure. I don't think it's not affixed with any hardware so you should be and to twist/spin it and slide it at the same time to get it just out of the way. That's what I did with mine. I use the same allen head socket that jss1975snow suggested.
