30 tooth pulley socket for borrow
#21
[QUOTE=icebite1;7994349]The HD part. # for the pulley is 83595-11. /QUOTE]
While this part# fits Dynas, do you know if it will fit my 2007 Softail, which has a 20mm belt?
Lake Shore HD has three different 30T pulleys to choose from.
What would be the correct part# for a 2007 Softail 30T pulley, that takes a 20mm belt?
Thanks

FYI...for what it's worth...I want to share what I think is the best way to deal w/ the final nut...and it can be a real bitch. I used a 3/4" cheater bar w/ 26 inches of 1" iron pipe for a cheater bar (used a 3/4 to 1/2 adapter for the socket). The nut backed right off. As easy as this was, I'll spare detailed descriptions of the futility of wimpy electric impact guns, and 1/2" breaker bars that bend too much. And yes, I used the sproket locking tool.
This is a great mod. I did it to my '96 1200S and currently my StreetBob. Lots more pick-up, and it wakes the bike up nicely. I think the bikes like it as much as the rider.

cool that you are loaning your stuff out, that is cool
air impact is the way to go in my opinion, if you bike is in nuetral and you hold the rear brake it doesn't do any damage to anything, (dont do it in gear)
you might think this isn't true but at least when takin it off i just held the pully with my hand. not hard to do with good air impact. of coarse it would be impossible with hand tools or cheap impact
i did it once once with a 3/4 ratchet like <$30 at auto zone and a pipe, this was after i snapped a 1/2" craftman breaker bar. be very careful because it would be pretty easy to throw the bike over or off the lift. that is alot of force
i bought the "heartland" socket tool off amazon, seems pretty good and not expensive
