Default Why isn't the Fatbob more popular

I'm just curious as to why this bike (Fatbob) isn't a more popular model. I bought mine in January and just got back from my first substanial ride--700 miles in 36 hours. I have done some mods to mine...stage 1 with a Thunderheader, SERT, wide glide rear fender, progressive shocks, cams (510) and plenty of add ons. In the early 90's I had a police model FXR that I completely customized by taking off all the extra crap and made the bike as simple and sleek as possible. This bike handled the twisty's like a dream, it flat out hauled *** and just seemed to fit me. I chose the Fatbob because it seems to be the closest model to that FXR that I had. Now that I did a ride with a great combination of terrain...highway, twisty's, mountains, etc., I can honestly say this bike handles it all and has the qualities I was looking for. This being said, I am curious what everyone thinks as to why the Fatbob isn't more popular. I know many people don't like the rear fender-I didn't and thats why I switched mine to the wide glide. Some people have said they don't like the dual headlights--I happen to like this set up but again it is something than can easily be swapped out. I look forward to your input.

Well my Fatbob is the only bike I have ever owned and I think it is awesome. The 2 complaints you mentioned are the only 2 I really ever hear about. One good thing is I only see a couple running around here but you see a lot of the other models. It looks great, handles great, has the dual front brakes. They also have only been around since 2008. I like them so thats all that matters to me.

Because it's not a Street Bob.

I'm a fan of the Fatbob. In restrospect I probably would have chosen a Fatty over the street bob and did some customizing to it. I love the fact that it comes dual disc brakes and a bigger tank stock.

I think if the Fatbob came with a fatboy headlight stock it may be more popular.

I love mine. Next bike will be a Street Glide. I love everything since I have customized it myself.

The wheels, headlight lack of rake with wide trees looks weird to me.

The 2 positives are it has wider struts & i like the bobtail fender. But if i had the money to buy a new fatbob, i would buy a wide glide instead

If I were to buy a new bike it would be the fatbob. I see them around these parts often. I like the bike a lot.

Love the Fatbob. Reminds me a lot of my old Fatboy but at this time I like my SB better

I like the Fat Bob. If new about it April of '07 I would have waited another 5 months to get a Fat Bob.
