Question How hard is a front end disassembly? Big list of mods

I'm wanting to get the lower fork legs powdercoated black as well as the triple trees. How hard is it to take apart?

I have been emailing a mobile mechanic and he suggests replacing the bearing and the bushings when doing new stuff to the forks.

Any tips or links to disassembling the front end?

I have a 2004 Dyna Super Glide Sport.

Big list of mods in the next few weeks.

14" Santee ape hangers
Chop rear fender more like a Nightster, Sumax Hugger front fender, all new paint flat or matte black. Burly Slammer kit, front turn signal relocation and housings, rear relocation w/ custom mounts. And the front end PC.

Thanks

if you would like... our shop offers complete dissassembly and re assembly after powder. you can just send you lowers and trees to us, we will pull the bearing on your lower tree, install a new one after coating, pull apart your down tubes, coat the lowers, and rebuild with new seals and your choice of fork oil... just an idea
if not... we on here can walk you though it all! it is pretty strait forward and once you do it once you will realize how easy it is (with the right tools on hand) but you can get all you need for around $30 bucks i would say.
first up is a owners manual as when you put it all back together you will need it for torque specs...
we do a HDF special for front end coating, it is $175 for the lower legs and tripple trees... (if you want us to tear down and re assemble there is additional charges for that)

post up what route you want to take either way i can help walk you right though it... other prices you can PM me

Get the manual. It's pretty easy.

Listen to Joe, he's the man.
And relatively easy job taking it apart.
