Default 200 rear tire on a Fat Bob

My local indy has put a 200 rear tire with progressive 412's on a Fat Bob. Anybody have any input on this. I'm thinking about doing it. Wondering what my tire options are and if this is even worth doing.

Strange tread pattern on those Cobras. Did you go bigger on the front or stock size? Dont know the tire size for the front off the top of my head. How much for the new rubber? I was afraid that going from 180 to 200 wasnt big enough of a change to really make a diff for the money it was going to cost me.

Do it when your stock tire wears out... OR do a big ol' smokin' burnout....then change it...

http://www.avon-tyres.co.uk/motorcycle/cobra The tread pattern is a sportbike style and the handling difference is Big, my bike feels well planted. The front tire was a 130/90/16.

How many miles are you getting out of a tire?
I'm on rear tire #4 with 36,592 miles on the bike.

Tire #1 was changed at 10,895
Tire #2 was changed at 21,522
Tire #3 was changed at 32,129

That’s an average of 10,710 miles on each stock 180mm.
I expect to get another 6,000+ out of the one I'm on.

I'm not sure those Avon’s last that long.

The stock knobby tires Suck for handling, the Avons are superior where it counts for me, holding the road.

200 ME880 on my Fatbob. Looks better and handles MUCH better than the stock Dunlaps. No regrets about going to a 200. I got about 7500 miles out of the ME880s and that was with 2 track days and lots of "jackassery".

I've got Progressive 812s and like them, too. Again, MUCH improvement over stock. Opinions vary about fork springs, but my bike felt unbalanced until I installed Progressive springs up front, as well.

Do you have to make any changes to put on a 200 or do you just slap it on the stock rim?
