Default Le Pera Bare Bones Solo seat vs H-D spring seat?

Hello

I need a new seat for my '10 FatBob.
I choose from:
1) LePera HotRod Bare Bones solo + pillon for passenger (my wife)
or
2) HD Solo Spring Saddle Black Leather 54373-10
I think that the spring seat will be higher and closer to the handlebar. But what pillon ?...

I need help

Are you looking to get sit up higher on the bike or lower? those two seats do the exact opposite of each other. The spring seat will look silly unless you have a bare bones bike.

I agree. Too much spring action. I think the bare bones is the way to go. Just my opinion.

i say lepera . but if you go with the spring seat. take the springs off and rigid mount it. im not a big fan of shocks on the seat right by the suspension shocks. its just to many shocks.

I want lower. I like low profile seat style.

I want to add lightness to my fatbob.

I replaced the wheels on 19 "front and 18"rear RSD, with 1" lowered front and 1/2" lowered rear springs.
And replaced the exhaust on a V&H big shot stagg.

Stock seats are uncomfortable, at least it is widely.
Lepera barebones I really like it, but I worry about its rigidity, or rather for my lower back and the passenger
Our roads are bad...

I like my LePera Bare Bones (no gel). Good for 300+ miles per day. My bike is lowered 1.75 rear and 2.0 front. 46 years old, major back surgery in 97. I would probably not want to go for over a 2 day 300+ each day trip with the LePera, I could do it but the enjoyment may suffer. The puss pad probably no good for long hauls in most cases....i could be wrong though!

Haven't seen your bike. But in my opinion, there's only a couple bike styles that can pull the spring seat off. Where as I think just about any dyna looks better with a barebones seat. And to be honest with ya, I don't have a lot of time in the saddle of my barebones. But upon initial use of it, I've been pretty surprised by it's comfort.

Out of the two choices, I would also have to choose the LePera. I think it compliments the lines of the Dyna. I have a Barebones, and really like it. It took a few rides to break it in, and now it's pretty comfy.

I took the springs off of my HD seat, and love the ride now...........The double spring action you get from the spring kit with shocks actually gives you a numbing affect to your butt.

After I removed the springs I did a two day 1000 mile trip without any numbness to my backside.
