I have been looking at the Avon Venom to put on my Street bob '06, I want to go as wide as I can without having to make changes to the bike, the Venom have a 110/90-19 available, now I see the Cobra have a 120/70-19 availble but will it fit my street bob? Also why the big price increase for the Cobra, are they that much better? Thanks Terry

I am definately interested in the Avon Cobras. I am happy to see the 150/80R16's fit the front with no issues but I am concerned with the Street Glide fender on my bike even though it is spread out whether it will clear with the extra .5" width. I am going to measure tonight to see if I have the extra .25" needed on each side. Worst case is I will need to stay with the 180/60R16.

Took the measurements when I got home and as I was afraid of, I do not have the clearance for the 200/60VR16 in the rear. No worries I am sure I will be happy with the 180/70R16 combined with the 150/80R16 front.

Default Avon Tires on my Fat Bob.. Pics

New to the forum. I was going to replace the stock tires with a new set of factory tires.
I'm glad I found this thread about Avon tires. I am now going to put the Avon Cobras on.

2008 Fat Bob.

Thanks everyone.

How close is the 200 rear tire to the belt guard? I was looking at my 180 tire and it looks like a 200 would be a really close fit.

don't know if you ever found out, I put 200's on the rear and that is REALLY tight. I can't get a finger between the tire and the belt, but there is space there. 250 mile back from Daytona on ruff back roads, no rubbing.

Hi guys,
Im new to this forum, and over that im from india.
i recently got my self a fat bob and have been wanting to swap the rear for a 200mm.
Been searching on the internet have only been able to come across 200/60/r16. I have closed down on the avons and the metzelers.
I have a few worries.
1. Will it be a direct fit on the stock rim?
2. Will i need to remove/modify the belt gaurd?
3. most importantly, the stock tire 180/70/B16, where "B" stand for bias belted, will i have any problem using 200/60/R16, which is a radial tire?

I will need to get the tire from the USA itself coz here there is no way to get the tire locally. So before i purchase the tire and put down that kind of money, i would really appreciate help from all u guys who have swapped the rear stock tire.

Thanks

You will have NO problem fitting the Avon 200mm on the stock rim and no mods needed to the belt guard. Also, no worries with the tire being a radial. You should be "Good to Go". Order it up!!!

Anyone ever get an answer on this? I'm interested in running the 150/200 Avons, but my bike has ABS.
