Default No Tach on my Dyna what were they thinking?

When I bought my 2011 FXDC Dyna Super Glide I was amazed that it did not have a tach. The Sportster had one. What is the reason for this. I can shift by sound but would like a tach. I think HD sells a replacement speedometer/tach in one that fits in the same place as the speedometer. Anyone upgraded to this or is a separate tach available? If you have added one pics and some details would be appreciated.

Yes, a few people have and there are a few threads, do a search and you will find pics. On my list of things to do next winter.

As to why, I would assume it's simply because they want us to buy another thing!

Sorry, I missed what you said! lol

Seriously, I'd rather have a tach than a fuel gauge that never works.

What were they thinking? They were thinking they could sell you this for $300

I snapped one up like a Pavlovian dog, easy to install, works fantastic.

Yeah...I noticed there's a few of them on the Harley site. I'm going to get one of them this coming winter as well. If I can wait that long, that is.
