Here are a couple pics from my last ride in the alps, weather is just great but dry...




My rear tire is slowly dying and I was wondering what tire brand you would recommend in stead of the original dunlop that I don't find very good...

I see I can have : metzler ME880, Dunlup D427 (original)...

Any advice ?

Another question while I'm at it, I put some Progressive 440 which I love but am feeling that the front forks need upgrading... Is it worth the upgrade to change the front shocks ?

I just purchased Avon Cobra's 71V 200/60R-16 rear & 79V 150/80R-16 front . Going to install this weekend. Heard they are good and should be better than stock Dunlops.

How many miles are on that 08?
I've got 33,000 on mine, I'm on rear tire #4. Average miles per stock tire is over 10,000.
The stock tire works well for me.

 

I've got 26 000 kilometers so 16000 miles... I bought it a couple months ago. I think the previous owner only changed both tires once at 11000 miles. My rear tire is getting tired already :P

@tinker gas is going at 1.82 CHF a litre so 2 USD for 1 litre...

@blacknsilver do you mind posting your impressions and pictures with a 200 avon tire ?
