Dyna's with suicide clutch/jockey shift?
Does anyone out there ride dynas that have a suicide clutch/jockey shift installed? I have a 98 Wide Glide that I'm thinking about installing the LaBriola clutch with a custom shifter. I am wondering how the bars look being as how you have to keep the controls on the left side for the blinkers and such. Or is there a way to transfer the controls from the left side to another location on the bike?
Thanks,
Phil

RE: Dyna's with suicide clutch/jockey shift?
Dyna's are already the baddest looking bikes out there, if you add a jockey shift I think they would look even more bad a$$. My bike is currently going through a rebirthing process and that's one of the mods that I would like to do, but I'm not sure about the controls. I'm putting 16" Chubbys so that's where my big concern is right now. Hopefully someone will have already done this.

I sent PocoCJ a PM about this and this was his reply.
[quote][/There are a couple things you can do to clean things up.
If you want the bars completely bare, then you'll have to figure out where you want the switches, etc. My bike is an FLST, so it has the fork tins on it. I mount on-off-on toggle switches on the back of the tins; one vertical for the dimmer switch, one horizontal for the turn signal switch. I usually get a small mirror mount that clamps onto the left bar, though I have drilled and sleeved it in the past.
If you want to leave the switches on the bar, then you can remove the clutch lever, and do some surgery on the switch/lever housing to clean it up. How good it looks pretty much depends on what style the housing is. I even replaced the later style brake master cylinder on my '87 with a '70s style, as you can get a cover without switch openings in it.
Yell if this needs any further clarification.
And don't forget to post a pic when you get done.

RE: Dyna's with suicide clutch/jockey shift?
Hello all. Has anyone done this on a wide glide? I have a 2002 that I want to switch to a foot clutch. I have a 56 FLH that has a foot clutch and I get confused when switching back and forth between bikes. I have found kits out there but unable to confirm that they bolt on and also if the shifting pattern would be the same as my pan.
Thanks in advance

RE: Dyna's with suicide clutch/jockey shift?
I'm in the process of switching to a jockey shift on a sportster I just picked up...I plan on keeping the stock left controls and doing a little fab work...I plan on grinding the mounts for the clutch lever and getting thing to look as clean as I can...I plan on painting the parts so I can use some bodyfill if I need to...I thought I would try out the jockey shift on a bike that wasn't my eveyday ride first....Just in caseit's harder than I think to get used to....
