Thanks! I know the kit doesn't come with pegs, is the brake pedal part of the lever? I can't tell in the picture.

The brake pedal is part of the lever but a "cap" with the rubber grips bolt to the pedal.

The chrome brake and shift levers aren't an option on the Kury's, they already come that way....And for half the $700+ price that I was quoted at the HD dealer. Kury's are also designed to go on without removing the outer or inner primary covers, a quick hour install for a mechanical novice. The HD dealer said theirs would be a 4 hour ($100 an hour?) labor charge.

I went with the Kury's and they sure look better than the stock factory ones that I've seen. Maybe your's were different since they were a factory accessory. What was your out the door cost, including labor? Mine was $341.99 total, installed on my back patio, in the filtered sunlight of a bald cyprus tree and sipping a few beers. The $750 savings bought me an entire stage 1 upgrade, ummm.. it wasn't HD either, and was done under the same tree on the same day.

If you spend your money wisely and aren't afraid to twist a wrench, you can build a nice bike for a fraction of what it would cost to take it the dealer. Besides, doing your own work is a relaxing and rewarding way to gain knowledge of how your bike is put together. That Harley shop mechanic won't be with you when his improperly installed cotter pin falls out of your brake rod, the pedal drags on the pavement and you don't know what to do.

I bought my Kury's from Dennis Kirk $299 incl shipping. Its an easy install. Just be sure to use blue loctite where needed.

I was reading some instructions in the dyna forum, may want to cut that shifter shaft if I have extra time lol. What I like about the Kuryakyn one is the chrome rods, does anyone know if the shifter rod is chromed as well?

If you go with the Kury. Replace the cheap keeper on the clevis pin on the brake side. Mine lasted 400 miles and the pin fell out at 60 mph. That will get your attention in a hurry when that brake lever hits the ground. It looks like a thin key ring and mine was looped all the way on. Not sure how it came off or broke. The quality looks good on the rest of the pieces and installation is a snap.
