Default '97 FXD Dyna Super Glide

I'm considering buying a '97 FXD Dyna Super Glide. I'm concerned about what I've heard regarding engine problems/reliability in the older Harley's. Can anyone weigh in? Advice? Thanks!!

That bike will have the 80ci Evolution motor, damn good engine, some say much more reliable than the Twin Cams of the current models.

CherylC, you heard wrong. The cam bearing should be updated but the Evo platform is extremely reliable, easy to maintain and cheap to fix if needed. They run much cooler than the newer bikes as well. Just remember, its 14 years old. Don't think your buying an brand new motorcycle.
