Default Big sucker vs backing plate

Also I was wondering whats the difference between an arlen ness big sucker and a screaming eagle backing plate 29510-05 with a kandN installed? It seems pretty similar. Thanks again

Not much to be honest - or at least not for stage-1. Its more a matter of what you prefer the look of.

Both are similar and both are prone to cracking. I just replaced my AN BS backing plate a week or two ago, cheap Taiwan part, but about $38 total cost to replace. The gasket wasn't included.

The only difference i believe is the Arlen Ness Big Sucker backing plate mounts with big allen key bolts that have a weep hole for the breather. This way you get a chrome mounting bolt instead of a black rubber cover that comes on the SE one. I originaly bought the SE one but then returned it since it felt cheap. Then i found the AN on ebay, brand new for 100. bucks with a chrome backing plate. The AN felt much better built in my opinion. So far 1500 miles and no regrets. Knock on wood.

Personally I prefer the Ness unit due to the design of the oil passage for blow-by. They are not the same at all. I have well over 25,000 miles on my ness unit.
