Default Dyna oil tank

CAll me stupid if you want but, I am still in the learning stage here and have been puzzled by this for some time. On all of the softtail's and sporty's I have looked at, the oil tank is visible, but the Dyna's oil tank is not in the same place as the other bikes. Does it sit below the battery box or where

Dynas dont have an oil tank, look under the bike between the frame tubes and you will see a drain plug on the oil pan.

the dynas have 3 drainers ... all below as the others described.. one for the xmsn, the eng. and the primary.. and the engine oil is housed specifically in an engine sump (much like a car) rather than in a horsheshoe shapped tank below the seat like a softtail uses

Do the fish on bike bandit. It's bolted to the bottom of your transmission like the big baggers. Actually most mistake it thinking its all transmission. All Harley's are dry sump.

+1 on Harleys being a dry sump (crankcase) relatively speaking. There is an oil resevoir located within the the trans case. The dipstick is right hand side between the rear cylinder and starter. Check the oil when hot, and when bike is leaning on the jiffy stand. You really need to get a service manual or find an owner's manual for the bike.
