I think the apes would look sick on that bike.

Default apes and cables

I ride a fld but in the market for another set of bars. I'm currently running 12.5" chubby apes and don't really like them as they are a little too wide for me personally due to some shoulder problems I have.
Anyway, in my quest I found a manufacturer named bukybars.com that has some serious designs and set ups. I saw their line up in person at the Long Beach Motorcycle Swap meet last sunday and they are beautiful, the best I've seen so far. They will be building a custom set for me in 1 1/2" stock similar to the 2011 cvo softail convertable bars HD offers but tweeked and configured to my needs.

Long story short...my bars and cables will be for sale once i pull the trigger on the bukybars, check them out in my albums. They are essentially new. I have $500 into my ss cables and bars and will sell them for about $350-400 complete, if you are interested. The cables ($300 alone) were custom made for my fld but should be a match for your WG. If not interested in mine, at least check bukybars out because they are freakin gorgeous and those guys will make customs for you or anyone else for $400. I think they are comparable to carlini's. Their off the shelf bars are less than my quote. They also offer a lifetime guarantee on build and finish in either chrome or powdercoat.

I've been researching for weeks and all I can say is, be sure you like them and they actually fit your body and riding style because it's a big investment and I'd hate to see anyone else make the mistake I did by rushing into it. Good luck dude, I've always loved WG's, great bike.

Default measurement confirm?

Billy, HD measures from top of trees I think so their 16" is really a 12" from what I gather. The 16" stated hgt. actually includes the riser height. Would you measure yours to confirm? When I put my 12.5" chubby apes on, no one believed they were only 12" and based on the above, they are right. When I measure from top of trees to top of bars, I get 16"

Yep, those are very cool, don't blame you. It's funny how the name has changed. Years ago, I would have called those Z-bars.
Great choice, they will look awesome.
