Default Question Re: Cooling Fins

This is probably a dumb question, but I have noticed that some street bobs have comepletely black cooling fins while others have the black cylinder with the polished fin edges... Mine are all black and I am a little jealous that they didn't come with the polished edges as I think that looks great...

Was there a dumb question in there somewhere. Sounded more like an observation.

I have the ones with the polished edges, I never have liked them so I sent the heads and cylinders to Joe the powder pro, hope to have them back soon coated flat black.

06-08 Bobs have polished fins

09+ went to plain black fins 'for the old school look'

Have you seen the Diamond Cutting of the fin edges? I'm told that it REALLY increases the cooling area (Plus it looks neater'n sliced bread.)

I haven't seen the diamond polishing, but I was thinking of sanding mine too... How did it work out?
