Question Rear Axle torque 1991 sturgis

Aloha, I have a 1991 Sturgis FXDB, would like to know the torque spec for the rear axle.......thanks

Per the 1991 instructions on page 2-8 of the official maintenance manual, the torque spec for the rear axle nut is 60-65 foot pounds. Use of Loctite Anti-Seize lubricant on the axle threads is specified. Initial torque should be to 60, then gradually increase as needed for cotter pin installation. DO NOT exceed 65 foot pounds as this could cause main bearings to seize. Install a mag base dial indicator on the brake rotor and verify bearing end play is between 0.004 and 0.018 inch.
