I have the Vance and Hines Big Radius 2 into 2 pipes on my Street Bob and these pipes are just a little bit too loud for me. Has anyone used Big City Thunders quite baffles? I am courious to hear what you guys think about them and if they're worth putting in?

 

I picked up a set of BCT quiet baffles for my big shots. in my opinion it was just as loud if not louder. it did make it deeper though. i ran a few you tube videos of the exhaust with stock baffles, v&h quiet baffles and then bct quiet baffles. the v&h quiet baffles were by far the quietest but by far not quiet. i woud up selling them and putting in the stock baffles.

 

I ran them in a set of SE II slip ons and they wern't real quite at all... but they sounded good

 

I had the BCT QQ's in a set of V&H slip ons that previously had the V&H quiet baffles. Both baffles were anything but quiet. however the BCT's had a much better sound IMO.

 

I put the bct quiet baffles in big radius 2 2 on my 05 wide glide. They are not quiet by any stretch of the imagination, but they are deeper and less harsh sounding and I like them.

 

I have them, in the same pipes you have. IMO. there isn't a whole lotta difference, slight would be the best way to describe it. Slightly deeper, slightly quieter. Sort of disappointing. And let me tell you, Getting the stock baffles out is a MAJOR Pain.
The sales guy at BCT said you can install the new ones, hack off half of the stock ones and put them back in behind the BCT ones and it will be quieter. I didn't try that tho.

 

I've got 2" 2-2 Cycle Shacks on my 103 FXDXT; it was pretty loud, the addition of BCT QQ's didn't quiet it appreciably, as others have pointed out, but it is a little mellower/deeper...tolerable enough to ride with some LEO buddies...
