Default LED Side mounted license plate w/pics

Canadian 5x8 plate is a pain in the butt, nobody made plate size like that. There is a local buy who makes them but over $200 a piece, ouch! I end up making my own. Bought a 4x6 US size plate holder with led, cut my original tag bracket, both them together. I got to make an L-shape bracket to mount it on the swing arm, it turned out great.

This is what I bought http://www.ebay.com/itm/290612604661...84.m1439.l2649

Looks Good! Those huge @$$ plates are hideous though. My only advice is to make sure the bracket you made is very beefy. Those things take a lot of vibration and you don't want to lose your nice new bracket and plate...I learned that lesson the hard way

I knew it! My existing license plate was cracked due to vibration, there is a lot more vibration at the swing arm, fender mount seems to be fine. Red loctite every single bolt lol

It looks like you tail lamp is pointing straight up! Am I correct or am I missing something? Is that a brake light, or a plate light? If its a plate light, why is it red and not white?

Must be the angle, it doesn't look like that in person. I can always bring the plate down if I want, wait till I insure my bike and get a plate. I actually wire the brake and the plate light to key on power, I have enough brake lights on the back, don't need an extra one.
