Default Battery

OK guys...I asked the folks in the general chat how much they paid for a new bike battery from HD but got no responses at all...NONE.
Anyone here brave enough to tell me what they have paid for a battery to fit their Dyna or any other model ?

Just replaced the battery in my UC a few weeks ago. It went dead and wouldn't hold a charge so I took it off the bike and went to the dealership. They confirmed it was bad with a load test. It was under warranty (14 months old) but they wouldn't replace it under warranty unless I brought the bike in so they could check out the the electrical and charging systems.

I live about 40 miles away from the shop and my trailer was 8 hours west of me at my son's house so I didn't have a way to trailer it to the shop. I bought a battery at the dealership, went home, installed it and drove the bike to the dealership so they could check the bike's charging system. Everything checked out and they refunded my money and honored the warranty. Total price of the battery was $207.00 for the AGM unit. They're real proud of them. Kudos to the dealership though, they treated me right and replaced it at no charge under warranty.

I paid about $75.00 delivered from eBay for a Deka battery (East Penn Manufacturing Co.) they make the Harley Davidson batteries without the Harley Davidson price.

If you have an Advance Auto near you then you can get their ETX20 Magna Power battery (which is an East Penn/Deka battery) for $60
Here's the link to the battery http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...0_A%7CGRP60054_____
Add it to your cart for pickup then enter BIG30 for the code which will get you $30 off the $89.99 cost.

Thanks for all the responses. I guess I did OK since it wound up costing me 96.00 for the new battery. They gave me 6.00 for the trade in of the old battery. The new one is a Deka Intimidator and is an AGM. List price is 102.00 before the 6.00 off. It was supposed to be fully charged but it took about 18 hours on a 1.5 amp charger/maintainer to bring it up to fully charged. I had heard also that Deka made the Harley batteries.
I didn't know I could check the price of the Harley battery online without the part number but I did. They want 129.95 for it so I saved 34.00 by driving 20 miles and picking it up.
Thanks all.

If I had known that I would have go to the Advance store just down the street. That is a great price for the battery...Live and learn.

Nice setup for your battery tender. Mine also is on a tender if it is in the garage.

I made a mistake and bought it from the dealer for 138.00, the other local dealer quoted me 178.00. I was told by the parts guy they only give a straight 1 year warranty and don't pro rate them anymore. I thought I had the bike on a battery tender this winter but when I went to fire it up it turns out the tender wasn't plugged in.
