FXDWG front wheel help (16 in)
Fellas,
I've done some searching, but can't seem to find an exact answer. I'm hoping those of you that have done this, or are looking to can chime in.
I'd really like to put a 16" touring front tire on my WG. I have a 2006. Is this a simple bolt on? I'm a fan of the laced front tire on the heritage softail - and don't want a front fender. so, would an 06 Heritage tire work? do I need to change brakes? are terr balancing issues?
Thanks for all input and help.

Check out my thread Heritage Wheel on wideglide. I am in the process of doing this with my 2002 Dyna with WG front end. There are 3 ways of going about this.
1-change out the wheel axle spacers, this is for centering the wheel between the forks and put spacers on the caliper mounts.
2- take your heritage wheel to a shop and have the rim offset about 1/4 inch and use the stock spacers on the axle.
3- change out fork lowers to fatboy or heritage lowers and use stock WG wheel spacers
Basically it's not a straight bolt on, as i am finding out.I have ordered spacers for my heritage wheel, here is what i have ordered
brake side 1 1/4 wheel spacer, non brake side 5/8 spacer and 1/4 inch spacer for brake caliper.
hope this helps, i should have mine complete in a week when spacers come in.
