Default Tank Lift

I failed to mention that the bolts were the only thing you had to "BUY"
IF you had access to some 1/8 thick metal to make the lift out of and a piece of 1/2" water pipe(2.950 long) to make spacer between tank brackets. Since i am a Machinist and have the material there, then it was easy. My tank does NOT have an offset to the tank brackets so just a piece of 1/8 metal sawed 7/8 wide X 2 3/4 long with 5/16 holes drilled on 2" centers worked just fine.
Keep in mind that this is a front of the tank lift only. You will need to buy an extra bolt and 4 washers to take up the space between the "frame mounting bracket" and the lift bracket.....Or i could just make one and mail it to you.
Good luck !

Buy U clamps from Lowes and use the flat bar. Buy the size clamp ghat you want to raise your tank. Then bolt and nut eith 1/2" diameter pipe for a spacer. I have seen someone use all thread with acorn nuts for a cleaner look.

I really like the first pic. How did you get the tank to fit so well?

I love this look. This is exactly the tank lift I want for my WG. Is that a 2"? DK Customs? Did you lift the back or just the front? Looks like you did front and back, which is what I want to do. Also, did you have any handlebar clearance issues? Front fork clearance issues?

Freddy, whose 2" lift kit did you use on your '01 Low Rider? I made some 1.5" brackets to try but the top of the triple clamp would interfere with the cross bolt on my '04 Low Rider. And I don't feel it's a strong enough setup to just have two tabs with no center support.

I used a 2 1/2 inch lift like this one I found on Ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/1996-2014-Ha...454652&vxp=mtr..... I have heard nothing but good things about DK's lifts,, I just thought this one piece one looked a little more sturdy... I still have good clearance with the bars and trees... You should check clearance by raising your tank before buying the kit though,,,and I did not raise the rear of the tank...

Thank you for the response. I appreciate the info. Where did you get your turn signal relocation kit?
