Why dont more people convert to an open primary?

I love them. I ran them on my last two bikes. The belts are virtually indestructible, last forever, are lighter and smoother than enclosed primary's, and sound cool as hell. The only thing holding me back was the TWO THOUSAND DOLLAR price tag. But Jireh has since released a system thats $750. I am seriously considering it but am waiting till I hear reviews of the unit. The Primo and BDL setups are known and proven setups, but way out of my budget since I just bought a Softail. It seems most of the Dyna board have simply never run them. If that is the case, it makes sense to be skeptical. I have run them for decades. The pants in the belt is a total non issue since they all come with guards and for those of us who run have them open anyway, sucking in a pant leg may startle you a bit, but in a fraction of a second it just shoots the material right back out. Gives you one of those....."what the F was that" moments. But quite literally, nothing more than that. I hope you go for it. I need the review!!!

Bikes with primary belts are known for getting real squirrelly, you can see it happen in this video at 4m25s:

I think (know) it's very dangerous if you happen to fall on the left or get your pant leg in that belt. Also, I've never known a person that hasn't had problems keeping the trans and engine aligned. That's why Harley doesn't make the Sturgis model anymore (at least with a belt primary). Can't keep them aligned.
