Default Help! Primary Cover Torque Sequence

I'm ready to put my primary cover back on and my service manual does don't have a torque sequence for tightening the bolts on the outer primary or the clutch cover. From what I've read on this forum, it is very important to install with the correct sequence. Can anyone help? I have a 2002 Dyna Lowrider with a V88.
Thanks

I would think the service manual would have this information.... if it were important. I am pretty sure they show the standard star pattern for torqueing the inspection cover back on.

I can look when I get home later today if nobody else responds by then.

Thanks for the replies. I bought my service manual as an online download so maybe it's not a good one. The only torque sequence it shows is for the rocker covers. Thanks again.

This info is in your service manual. And read your owners manual.

At least on my 2007, for the outer primary cover (13 bolts) you tighten the bolts in the center ie midway between the forward and rear ends and work your way to the front and rear ends. This makes sense, so that your expensive new primary gasket will lie flat, any slack pushed out to the ends. Tighten to 108-120 INCH/lbs (2007 Dyna).
