Default Whirring noise

About two weeks ago I replaced my inner primary bearing with the high torque bearing from Baker Drivetrain because I had the metal roller skate noise that stopped when dropped into gear. All was good and quiet for a couple of weeks.

Now I have a whirring sound from the primary area that is hardly noticeable at idle, but speeds up with engine speed. I can hear the noise increase until I up shift, at which point it gets quieter, then it starts to get louder as I accelerate.

If I pull in the clutch while going down the road and let the rpms drop, it goes away, but as soon as I engage the clutch it comes back. Unlike the IPB noise, it doesn't stop when dropped into gear.

I'm going to pull it apart tonight when I get home. I'll check it then. Is that noise associated with too tight or too loose?

It sounds to me like your chain is to tight. If your going to adjust it, do it at room temperature

Well, I pulled the primary apart, and I checked everything out. All looks good. Chain was not overly tight. I put it all back together filled it with Bel-Ray primary oil, and the noise is still there. It must be engine noise though because the primary looks great.

I'm going to keep riding it until something gets worse or blows up. I did switch from Amsoil to Mobile 1 on my last oil change. Is it possible that the mobile 1 is a little noisy compared to the Amsoil? If that's all it is I'm good.

I forgot to mention, I had an intermittent tapping noise that I asked about on here a couple of weeks ago. On the advice of a member of this board, I changed the filter and oil, and the tapping noise went away. Sounds like the top end might have been starving for oil even though the oil pressure light never came on. I rode it about 20-30 miles while it was making that intermittent noise, I hope I didn't wipe a bearing. What do you guys think.
