Just felt like showing off a little more of my handy work. I painted the AC Cover, Battery cover band and console flat OD green to bring the color of the bags through the bike. I also installed some 12" Santee Straight-Up bars to replace my stock mini apes. Let me know what ya think!

Nicely done ... how many miles have you put on with the new bars? Do you like them?

 

I just put them on today, I've got a little over 60mi on them now. I had the mini apes pushed forward so much that I actually have a shorter reach on the new ones. I like them a lot so far. I got my poly bushings in the mail this afternoon so I'll pop those in tomorrow morning.

Thanks for the comments on the sissy bar! I made it from scratch, kind of out of necessity. I needed something to strap my bag to for sturgis so I got some steel from menards, used an old truck rotor and propane torch (for the curves) and whipped it together!
