H-D Synthetic Leather Saddlebags on 2011 Street Bob
I have installed the H-D Synthetic Leather Saddlebags on my 2011 Street Bob and am happy with the looks and new storage. Figured I would share a few pictures.
I'm not a fan of bags but I have to admit those Harley bags look damn good. Just a little pricey though. My wife is getting ready to trade her Sporty on a Street Bob and she wants bags. Thanks for the pics.

I paid $356.95 from New Castle, the fact that they are shaped for the shocks and axle area let me mount them close to avoid having them sticking out (used 1/4" chrome spacer for front & 1/2" spacer for rear which is a half inch less for each compared to what shipped with kit).
Wow now that's a more realistic price.. I know some bitch about feeding the machine and buying Harley parts but the advantage is they're made to fit perfectly. I've learned the hard way with some parts.
Sorry I looked at your list of mods after I posted so I removed the seat question.
I run one of these bags on my right side, it's a great bag. Just make sure you push down on the Velcro good when you plan a long ride, it has a tendency to pull up and get pushed back by the wind.

That is solid advice, also take some graphite powder lube and apply it to the snaps once or twice a summer as I have ripped one of my snaps right out on the very same bags.

Thanks!

Yes, I have noticed the snaps can be a little stubborn and was concerned that down the road they could be susceptible to being accidentally damaged, thanks for the tip on using the graphite powder!
Looks great man. Is it only a Velcro closure though? How long was install?
Thanks, in addition to the Velcro on the main side flap there are also a total of four snaps on each bag. Two on the front edge of the lid and two on the rear.
Install of the bags was simple, just two bolts on each side through the strut brace. Bigger issue was relocating the signals and in my case I ended up getting shorter chrome spacers and stainless bolts from the local hardware store for mounting the bags to get them closer to the bike than the hardware that came with the bags.
