Default Oil and Fluid Question

I'm putting Amsoil 20w50 synthetic in the motor and was told that i can use it in the tranny and primary, is this correct?

Use the search function. There's alot on fluids. As to your question I use the correct fluid in the correct hole.
Man that statement's gonna get some BS.

Seeing that Harley sells 20w50 syn3 to be used in all three holes, I don't see why not. That being said, I use amsoil 20w50 in the engine and primary, and belray in the tranny.

There are a million choices and a million more opinions as to what you should do, just use whatever makes you feel comfortable.

Yep, that's what Amsoil told me, just wanting a few more opinions before i place an order, thanks.

I use Syn3 in all the holes. Makes it easier and actually accessible when on a trip.
Changed to Syn3 2500 miles ago. no issues so far. Everything is still quiet.

I use Castrol V-Twin in all 3 holes.

You can use it in all three holes however gear oil seems to work better in the tranny and I get good results with rotella t 15w-40 conventional in the primary.

Harley mfg has recently done a turn around and has started recomending a tranny oil for the tranny. Maybe thats because they sell it under their name
