Default Dyna Switchback Rear Turn Signal Bar Mounted on Dyna Streetbob

Ok, so my dilemma is this. I put some new saddlebags on my 2007 Streetbob a while ago and I really need to relocate my rear turn signals. I know that Harley has a relocation kit for this but I don't think it looks that great. I would like to get something to where I can have turn signals that are easy for other drivers to see. I was thinking of buying the Rear Turn Signal Bar from the new Dyna Switchback and mounting it on my bike. Has anyone ever done this install? Pictures? Another idea that I had was to get an LED strip that has turn signals but I wasn't sure how easy they would be for other motorists to see? Any other ideas would be appreciated.

You'll have to buy the rear fender to go with it, they're indented so that particular light bracket fits correctly onto the fender.

Other option is to buy the touring light setup and drill some holes in your fender.

I used a streetglide rear turn signal bar, trick is the drilling of the 2 holes to mount it as they go in on an angle, but can be done as i have done it and looks good in my opnion. Pic attached, i have since installed a Roadking rear fender to complete the FatGlide look.

DO NOT just drill a couple of holes, grind a little bit off of the bracket to try to get the angles to match, and bolt the lights on.

If that is all you do, the fender will crack and rattle.

You MUST reinforce the fender or the thin metal of the fender will crack, if you ride the bike a lot.

I had to weld mine up after it cracked. I welded thicker support pieces to the tail light flange where I wanted the lights to be, then had it repainted. Probably a $300.00 oopsie on my part.

I used a LED strip I got from Custom Dynamics that I have wired up as a run/stop/turn light. Here is a video of it in action and some pics of it.

Those LED light strips look pretty nice too. Seems like it would be an easy install. Are they easy to see in the daytime? Any problems with it wanting to come loose from the fender?
