painting tank
Can the fuel sending unit be left inside the tank when sending it to get painted? Any downside to doing this? I don't wanna melt or mess something up.
Booth would be heated, probly 100 to 120 degrees.
Painter said I can do either/ or, but wanted to see what is best.
Going to have my tank painted the Harley hard candy metal flake red.

I pulled mine, just because I didn't want it messed up. Takes a few minutes vs. a few hundred dollars should it get jacked up. Mine should be back from the paint shop next week.

I think it would be better to take it out and give the painter just the tank. Only takes a couple mins to pull it out and put it back after paint

Pull it and the fuel pump (assuming yours is injected)

pull it... just better that way it is way to $$$$ to risk paint getting past the masking and into (on) the pump
