Default Changing out the Fluids on the Bike ... Amsoil ???

Hey guys, thinking about switching out the Fluids on the bike to synthetic ?? anyone doing this and what are you using ?

Was thinking about going with Amsoil 20x50 Synthetic ... And looking for what I would need to use for the primary and trans

Any suggestions welcome

A lot of people run SE Syn3 in all three holes.

I use Screamin Eagle in engine, and primary. Trans haven't changed yet, but will go with Spectro(heard great thing about it!)

I noticed the HD pdf above does not specify 5K or annually like automobiles do. It just states 5K miles for an oil change. Anyone have an answer for that? I just changed my Syn 3 oil today because it has been a year since it was last changed but was only driven 2500 miles due to shoulder surgery and could not ride for several months. Wonder if I could just wait till the 5K interval next time which would be over a year in my case. That stuff is expensive at $15 a quart and the filter aint cheap either so I don't want to do it if not necessary.

Amsoil says to use the syn 20/50 in all three holes, but I can tell from experience that didn't work well for me. I use screamin eagle syn 20/50 in the engine oil and bel-ray 140/80 gear oil in the trans and bel-ray in the primary. Bike loves it.
