Rode Angeles CrestHighway today
http://www.motorcycleroads.com/75/12...t-Highway.html
from san diego and back it was around 300 miles today. The misses on the back did a great job too.
started out at 10am and arrived home at 6:40pm
so...
riding the super slab for 1 hour and 30 mins sucked. route 5 was blazing hot with a major accident which led to 15 mins of straight lane splits. Had to get off the bike for a few after 90 miles. we were dying.
then connected to route 2 from the 5 and ended up eating some thai food at a hole in the wall spot in glendale ca. cheap food, great quality.
next it was to exit 20 where we entered Angeles Coast highway. A 60 mile stretch of soaring views, every type of turn you can imagine and great road conditions.
We climbed to 7000 feet and took a break.
Now cold atop 7000 feet we needed to head back so we finished the route and connected to the 15 south.
Its now time for los angeles rush hour traffic so we lane split for what seemed like a eternity and made it to temecula. Had to pull off again.
Lastley we left temecula and slabbed it back to escondido. great ride to day. feel beat to shiz though.
anyone else ever rode this route in the link?

Love it. Im in South Pasadena so its just up the road for me. Very technical road. It's one of the reasons I switched from a Softail to my Dyna. Helps me keep up with my wife on her Ducati, or at least ocasionaly catch glimpses of her as she disappears around the bends. Newcomb's is a great stop too. My favorite time to ride it is early weekdays. Zero traffic.
