Default chrome or black pipes

Help me decide...I am going to order pipes and not sure whether I should get the black or chrome for my '12 SB Black Denim. (I am going to get the PV and probably a K&N AC) I presume I can buy any AC and get a round cover the the AC or do I need to specify a AC that will fit round cover?

Anyway the choice between black and chrome pipes has kept me on the fence for too long. I do not necessarily have to have a totally black bike and actually think a little contrast in the bike makes a better looking bike.

I am thinking of either: V&H big radius 2-2, big shots staggered, straight shots and maybe a FatCat 2in1. But probably go with V&H. This stock pipes suck so I am anxious to get them out and putting better pipes on.

Thanks for pics and/or ideas.

i ran the v/h 2-2 before going 2-1 and coated my shields in gloss black but did a bit of custom coating work and left the tips chrome, was a killer look... i liked it so much that i did it again on my new pipe... these pipes where sold to a forum member so they are still around... as you can see, the sky is the limit when you are deciding on pipe color

my new 2 - 1

then i re re did it in color matched tip

My wife has chrome, I have black.
I get to keep both clean. The chrome is a MASSIVE pain in the ****, black is rinse and dry. My whole bike is done in 5 min's. Takes me an hour on hers....
I always vote black!

I vote black but depends on the look you are going for, I'd rather be riding than polishing chrome.

another vote for black pipes.

I have chrome on mine (came on it) but am saving up to replaced them with some black Thunderheaders.
