Installing Cycle Shack Slip-on muffers on 2013 wide glide
Just took delivery of my red 2013 wide glide 3 weeks ago. First mod....inexpensive cycle shack slip ons.
Bought from Dennis Dirk....188.00, 3 days to delivery.
Some install tips...
1) Have red locktite on hand.
2) Hand tight all bolts, do not tighten before on the bike.
3) Slip clamps on the new muffers, not on the HD factory pipe.
I thought sound was loud at first....love them now. The only problem is I find myself gunning the throttle to hear that sound!!
Over all very impressed with quality of cycle shack. Noticeable performance difference. Backfired once in 90 Km, so far. Way more vibration at idle, settles out after 5mph.
Next mod....bring handlebars closer...maybe 6"X2"pullback risers.
Hope this helps....ride safe.
