Buy street bob now? Or wait until it comes out with 103" motor?
Hey guys,
just looking for some feedback on this... Do you think next years model Street bob (2014) will come with 103" as standard? Is it worth waiting for? Or should I just be happy with the 96" motor. This is the only thing holding me back from buying right now.
I plan on upgrading the cams to woods tw555 and feel that they would be possibly better suited to the slightly higher stock compression of the 103". I don't plan on doing any other engine upgrades aside from cams and if I get the 96" motor I will not be doing a big bore kit (don't have the $$$).
Purchase price is also a factor, and the current model bob is great value. If it does get the 103" for the 2014 model I am guessing the price will go up?
Help me decide.

Ahh, I just checked out HD USA website and I see what you are talking about - upgrade to 103" for $350. Thats a great offer.
Unfortunately here in Australia we don't have that option otherwise that would solve my problem. Here we only have the SE stage I - IV 103" big bore kits which cost lots of $$$.

I agree totally. Except here in Australia we don't have the option of upgrading to a factory 103".... all we have here are the SE 103" big bore kits that the dealer offers.

If its not available now, and you don't know if it will be stock next year, then go with the 96...
There are plenty of things you can do down the road to pick up these miniscule numbers for cheap, and having a 96 now is better than having nothing for the next 10 months.
