Switchback ? How satisfied are ya
Ok my rusty ole gears are rollin' around in my head....
I'm reading the rave reviews of the Switchback, some Motorcycle reviewers
on You-tube are calling it the best HD currently offered. Hitting the sweetspot
of Fun - comfort - Function. The look while rolling is very cool to my eye.
I've always liked a Road King. and wonder if I make a move Should I just
go that way. They really don't cost that much more.
So what do you all think ? Especially Switchback owners .. Any Regrets ?
Thanks

Cant speak for the switchback, but a touring bike especially a Road King is a completely different animal than the switchback.
You cant fairly compare them as they are in different classes.
I know after I rode a few miles on Road King I was able to throw it around like I was born on it, I dont feel like I am on a heavy touring bike, rather a decent sized cruiser and it is nimble at speed.
The switchback I suspect has a more sporty ride and maybe better /quicker handling?
Again I cant say as I havent ridden any, but I would say if you are thinking of sport riding, weekend day trips around town and to the club, although you could comfortably do that on a road king, and I love the king, you might be better suited fo the switchback since you like that look and you are questioning "sportyness".
why not go test drive one of each and check them out and consider your driving style.
That way you can get some seat time and feel the differences while considering where you will be riding and how often.
Good luck, I am sure some switchys will chime in and give you a better picture from their perspective.

Fld
No regrets. Owned 8 Harleys going back to my first bought new '72 iron head and this by far is the sweetest. That said I use this FLD as my daily ride but would think twice about cross country on it. Made some long trips on glides and they were built more for comfort. This will be my keeper till they plant me.
