got the wheels on last night heres a parts list and a few pictures. (the bike looks so much better in person)

i test rode it into work today and tonight i will be installing the fxdf fork lower and leatherpro fxdxt bags. The rear was infact bolt on, but the front needed axle spacers and spacers for the calipers.

my parts list:

rear 160/80-16 metzeler me880
front 100/90-19 metzeler me880

2000-2005 FXDL 13 spoke mag rims"
16x3 rear rim 3/4" axle drilled to fit 1" axle
19x2.15 front 1" axle

(4) 1" bearings
1" rear axle sleeve for 06 fxd wheel
2 front wheel spacers
washers to space the calipers (temporary)

(2) classic black front rotors
2007 touring Right caliper
right FXDF lower

still needed: brake lines

Got the fxdf leg installed and bags on yesterday

 

Wow ... looks great! I've always been a big fan of those mags!
Really digging the battery cover too. I have the same one on my FXDL ... it's a FLD cover, right?
What are you doing about rear turn signals? Are you using a kit integrated into the rear brake light?

 

Finally! You are definitely a patient man Chris. Looks great and well worth the wait. Pretty soon you'll have an 07 FXDXT. Sweet!

 

Here I was, quite happy with my black PC'd stock rim. Just convinced myself I didn't need dual discs up front. Now I see this. I guess I'm gonna have to sell some of my wife's jewelry and get my front end dialed in! Just nobody tell my wife about the jewelry .....hahahaha!

thanks bucket, yes its the fld battery cover but it looks like all the new dynas have it now....the taillight has integrated turn signals..

yeah unfortunatly i had to wait paycheck to paycheck in order to get it all together, my goal was to make my own version of the fxdxt and after tonight ill be almost finished..
