Fat Bob in Dubai
Earlier in the year, I had my FB bored to 103, added flat top pistons and kept my 204 cam. I know many people are happy with that combo but it did not work too well for me. Difficult to start, despite compression releases and also did not run that well lower in the revs. It must have been the tune, which I had done at the dealer here in Dubai. I now changed to Woods 555 cams. Also tuned by the dealer, but less critical on compression I think. In any case, a world of difference. Good start, very linear pull from standstill to around 6000 revs. Very happy with that indeed. Rides like a drrrrrrrrrrrrrream.
I'm now ready for the next step, a 30T pulley. I bought the HD one, which I think is originally a trike part. I read a lot on this Forum about belts. Seems like you need to go one tooth down. The dealer tells me that my FB has 132 teeth belt. So then I need a 131 teeth belt, 1 inch wide. Surdyke seems to have it, part number 40046-07. Is that correct?
