Default First ride with 444s

Took my first ride since installing Progressive's 444s. Went to a little place called Moonshine Illinois, about 260 miles round trip. I had the shocks set at the first preload line. Other than going on or coming off a bridge, the ride was fairly smooth, kinda surprised me really. Now I need to get a set of intimidators for the forks.

I replaced the shocks on my bike with a pair of Progressive 444 shocks. They really are a great improvement over the OEM product HD installs at the factory. You might want to recheck your sag setting (preload) after a couple hundred miles (you're almost there).

Love my 444's, they are a huge improvement over the stock ones and the 412's I had on before.
No, they are not $1000 shocks, but their quality and ride is a huge improvement!

JMB, I will do that, thanks for the advice. Gommee, you are so right. Almost unreal the difference over OEM shocks.

I just installed progressive front end springs as well. Made a big difference in the ride quality. Im sure intiminators would do the job as well. I hear good things about them.

Yup, a big difference. Removed my progressive front lowering kit and put stock springs back in with intiminators and RSD preload adjusters.

Even better ride.

I've only had my 444's for a couple months, so not a ton of miles on them yet. I have found that they seem to feel better the harder you push the bike. I have my sag set per the manual and they feel pretty good, except for slow speed jolts (manhole covers, expansion cracks, etc)
