Default Stupid Peg and grip questions...

I own a 2006 WideGlide and I am putting new grips and pegs on it. The grips I have are the HD Diamond Plate series. Part # 56618-04 The directions don't mention anything about using adhesive on the clutch side grip. Obviously the HD stock rubber grip I removed was glued on. Do I glue the new one one? It has a groove in it to fit inside of the control housing.
Also... I have a set of HD diamond plate footpegs part # 50506-03. One side is chrome and diamond plate. The other side is a large black rubber grip with a chrome surround. Are these reversible? The reason I am asking is I like the way the black looks better than the diamond plate side. Also, the black side is flat and more comfortable than the diamond plate side because that side is rounded.

Also.. the black side looks better with the stirrups I have because they have a black pad on them.

I use to work at a bike shop, we used hairspray.
It will let you slide them on very easy, then it dries and they wont move.

You shouldn't have to use anything. All the HD grips I've used will only fit in to the hand controls one way do to the way the locking collar is made (one of the reasons I like HD grips). So once everything is tightened down they can't spin.

As for your foot pegs, pick up a pair of these and you can try them either way until you decide which way you like best.

NO adhesive necessary on HD grips, they fit into the housings. I used to change then on my metric bikes and had to glue the left grip, but not with the Harley! Nice, you can have multiple sets and change the look or feel when you want to. No more throwing away left grip pieces! Nice!
