I think you would come out cheaper by modding your current fender. Talk to Ric at Southeast Custom Cycles. The only hole left in my stock fender is for the seat bolt. Also, it was lowered and re-radiused at the same time and then repainted Black denim.

All you are going to get from the dealer is another stock fender without a hole for the light plus you will have to pay extra for paint.

Look at my sig photo compared to yours and other Street Bobs with stock fenders. See how my fender just sits way lower. The un-modded stock fender looks like its waiting for a flood to happen like high-water pants.

The 2013/kit fender will not have the bracing. The only reason the bracing is on the late build date 12s is because so meany fenders were cracking because of the way the plate was mounted to the taillight housing.

Hey there, let me know how that turns out for you.. I plan on doing the same thing to my bike.. I hate that sausage tailight! I can't believe nobody out there makes an aftermarket tailight to replace it.. Cheers brother-

For anyone coming across this old thread, the part 59867-10BEO is obsolete now. I'm assuming it's because HD wants you to spend hundreds more to buy the current model SBob fender instead of a generically named "chopped fender kit". Whoop-dee-doo.
