Default Question about 2013 street bob forks

Hi all. So I got a burly slammer kit for my gf's street bob. Its a 2013MY. I have confirmed with burly that the kit I got is correct for her bike. She needs the drop to feel safe while riding (flat footed).

We had her friends dad offer to install the kit. Rear shocks went on ok, but the front is where he had the problem. Said he pulled the cap of the fork tube and pulled out what looked like a steel tube? I wasn't there so I can't verify. The kit has a lowering spring, helper spring and spacer. We didn't know what to make of it so he it all back to stock.

Has anyone lowered a 2013 street bob in the front? Did the moco change the fork design?

Does anyone have a pic of the pats manual for the 2013? I have my dyna repair manual for my 2012 fat bob, but don't know if anything got changed.

Suggestions?

My favorite part about this kit, is you only have to do one side!

I think after watching that video again, that the slammer springs are designed to replace the stock springs, but retain the use of the stock metal spacer. The springs are noooowhere near as long as those progressive springs.
