2012 street bob LED turn signals - fast blink
I have replaced the front and rear turn signal/running lights with LED's in both cases on my 2012 street bob. The lights blink just fine on the turn signals themselves, and the rear lights are also break lights that work just fine. But my console light always blinks fast now when using the turn signal. Someone has told me the dealer needs to flash something to tell the bike it is using LED's instead of conventional lights. Can anyone confirm if this is accurate and if you have any additional info on it would be appriciated? Thank you.

Insufficient load of new turn signals. A common problem You need a load equalizer. If you have a friend who knows electronics can do it with parts that cost less than $5.
Otherwise, you should buy it. I used this here:

Thank you for the replies. The load equalizer is how I got here really. I read about this on the forums (using led's vs conventioanl). So i contacted Badlands to see what I would need. They are the ones that told me for the 2012 street bob that they dont sell anything that fixes it and I would need to contact the dealer to have them flash something. They also mentioned the dealship would likely not know what I was talking about, and when I asked the the dealership, sure enough they did not. According to Badlands, something was changed on the 2012 regarding this and their products no longer work to fix that issue. If I get to the bottom of it, I will post the fix. Trying a different dealer this week.

Just my $.02 (and worth almost every penny)

I had the same issue with the HD LED mirrors. The solution I chose was to add small LED fork-tube mounted signals from Joker Machine.
I haven't received them yet, but the tech at my dealer assures me they will create enough load to eliminate the problem.
The solution works for me because the LED mirrors aren't all that bright in daylight anyway. These little LED's are inconspicuous and attach to the fork tubes.
It is an issue with the CanBUS system.
