I recently purchased a 2009 dyna super glide and I love it. However, last month during the Long Beach Motorcycle show I had the pleasure to ride a Street Glide, and I realized how much i like the batwing fairing. So I purchased the batwing fairing from Memphis shades, along with the mounting kit and a 6.5" windshield. Now its time for the waiting game, i hope it arrives soon so i can put it to the test in time for the Casino run Im scheduling.
@Rainmakr, your bike looks sick man! the previous owner had some mini floorboards installed on it so i can scratch that of the list hehe. How you liking the memphis shades? How long did it take to install?

Thanks!
The install for the batwing is very simple. It takes 10 minutes the first time to get it on the bike. Afterwards, it is a simple on and off in seconds. With the memphis shades brackets, if you remove the fairing, there will be part of the mounting hardware left on the bike. This doesnt bother me, since after getting it painted to match the bike, it has become a permanent part of my bike.
Sweet! i cannot wait for the parts to be delivered. I already did the turn signal relocation (glad that is out of the way). One quick question, I see you have 12" inch mini apes, were the stock cables enough or did you have to buy extension cables? I am thinking about getting some 5" pull backs but i really don't wanna spend more than 60 bucks, maybe after tax return season haha
Are you ever going to get hard saddlebags?

I ordered new cables and wiring extensions when I had the bars put on. Prior to that I had 3.5" risers with 1 inch pullback on the stock buckhorn bars and had no issues with cables. Might have to search the forum some but I think other members have went with 5" risers and not had to change out cables - may have to route differently though.

I am not planning on switching to hard bags. I really like the way these bags are on my bike. They have leather on the outside with a hard plastic liner on the inside.
