Touring guy with questions about Fat Bob
I ride a RK but am thinking of getting a second bike, most likely a Fat Bob.
What if any differences between years 2008-2012?
I want to black the bike out, is it possible to black out the entire front fork assembly?
These are probably asked over and over on this forum but as I said I am on the touring forum and I know guys get jumped all over for asking common questions there.

Id like to think we are much friendlier in here!
I have a 2012 fat bob. 1st year of the standard 103, and first or seconde year of optional factory only abs.
Other than that, they have been fairly unchanged in their production run. I'm fairly certain thst they offer black triple trees as an accessory, the lower forks, at least in 2012, are black.

Easiest way to black out the forks is to powder coat the trees and dust caps and lowers if they are not already done, and put gaiters (boots) on the lower forks. Then put a powder coated piece of 49mm pipe over the top tubes between the trees when you reassemble. Joe Knapp (forum member JRK5892) sells these to black out your uppers. It will look sick. I suggest him for your powder work as well.
